SEPTEMBER

Juniors should be thinking about college search this year!  Check out college websites, visit campuses, talk to friends and family.........it's not to early to think about all those post-secondary education decisions.   Click on the Career Planning Guide link to the left and print helpful guidelines for college visits.

September 10:  Open House

September 29-30, October 1:  Eid Holiday - no school

 

OCTOBER

OCTOBER 18:  PSAT TESTING     (practice SAT)

COST:  $15 - SIGN UP WITH THE COUNSELING SECRETARY

October 27 & 29:  FIRST HIGH SCHOOL REPORT CARD WILL BE DISTRIBUTED AT PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES.   PARENTS CAN MEET WITH EACH TEACHER AND LEARN MORE ABOUT THEIR CHILD'S ACADEMIC PROGRESS AND WORK HABITS.

NOVEMBER

Fall weekends are great for college visits.  Call any college admission office to find out if they have special visitation weekends planned.

DECEMBER

December 8-10: Eid holiday - no school

 

December: ALL STUDENTS receive a copy of their second semester course selections.  Students need to see their counselor by December 14th to change their selections.

 

Juniors SHOULD BEGIN FINAL EXAM PREPARATIONS:  RE-READ AND OUTLINE CHAPTERS, REVIEW QUIZZES, EXAMS AND ASSIGNMENTS.

JANUARY

Princeton Review ACT Preparation Course

January 20-22:  ALL STUDENTS  Final Exams

FEBRUARY

Feb 20-23:  Mid Winter Break

MARCH

MARCH 10-13:   MICHIGAN MERIT EXAM - mandatory examination for high school graduation

SCHEDULING for SENIOR YEAR CLASSES

Auditorium presentation

Individual interviews with counselorduring Language Arts classes

 

April 10-19:  Spring Break
