Today we mailed out nearly 450 invitations for students and parents to attend our Academic Achievement Program. Students who earned a 3.5 gpa or higher for both semesters last year will be recognized with either their academic varsity letter, or academic pin. This event will be held on November 6, 2017, at 8:30 am in the DHS auditorium. We are hoping to be able to recognize all of our students and see many of you there.
As you’ve noticed, we’ve been making every effort to help the traffic flow in the morning. If you are dropping your child in the circle drive in front of DHS, please make sure you pull as far forward as possible before letting your child out. Also, feel free to use York to drop your students off and have them cross at the traffic light on Outer Drive. Lastly, under no circumstances should you be letting students out of your car on Outer Drive; it puts your child at risk and shouldn’t be done.
Progress reports were mailed out earlier this week; please make sure to contact your students teachers directly if you have any questions about grades, books, or anything related to the classroom.
