As you’ve noticed, we’ve been making every effort to help the traffic flow in the morning. If you are dropping your child in the circle drive in front of DHS, please make sure you pull as far forward as possible before letting your child out. Also, feel free to use York to drop your students off and have them cross at the traffic light on Outer Drive. Lastly, under no circumstances should you be letting students out of your car on Outer Drive; it puts your child at risk and shouldn’t be done.
Progress reports were mailed out last Thursday; please make sure to contact your students teachers directly if you have any questions about grades, books, or anything related to the classroom. As always, you may access more up to date information using ParentConnect or our Teacher Websites.
Please encourage your students to support our Pioneers on Fridays by wearing Orange and Black!
We are using Title I money to support extended Media Center Hours and busing home again this year. If your child needs some extra time either before or after school, feel free to encourage them to stop in Tuesday-Thursdays after school until 4 pm and Tuesdays-Fridays before school beginning at 6:45 am. Students can check out books, use computers, have quiet study or reading time, and have access to teachers to help them with their work. Check out the flyer for more information.
