Information about Our Return to In Person School

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to have kids back in the building and I hope they are looking forward to being back too! As you may know, students will be returning to the building in two groups beginning March 1st, which also begins the new hybrid schedule for all students. Below is the return to school grouping information, hybrid phase-in timeline, and a few of the expectations that we want to share. We will be sending information in the coming weeks to do our best to make sure that everyone is attending in a safe and healthy way.

DHS Feeder Two Group Breakdown:

A Group: Even Home Address

  • Any student whose home address ends in an even number (0, 2, 4, 6, 8)
  • The Even Address Group will attend in person at the building on Mondays and Thursdays. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays they will attend classes remotely through Zoom during their normal scheduled class period.

B Group: Odd Home Address

  • Any student whose home address ends in an odd number (1, 3, 5, 7, 9)
  • The Odd Address Group will attend in person at the building on Tuesdays and Fridays. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays they will attend classes remotely through Zoom during their normal scheduled class period.

Expectations:

  • It is expected that all students attend class in person with the group they are assigned. On Wednesdays, all students will attend remotely at home with Zoom.
  • Parents must screen their children daily to ensure that they are symptom free following these guidelines. (English or Arabic) If a student comes to school and has either 1 symptom in box 1 or 2 symptoms in box 2 they will be sent home. Please keep your child home if they have any symptoms and have them remote in for the day.
  • Masks covering the mouth and nose must be worn at all times. Students will not be allowed to congregate at any time and are expected to follow social distancing protocols. Wearing masks and proper social distancing is required for students to attend in person.
