As we head into the month of December, families start to plan trips. We encourage families to create memories and ask that you plan these trips according to the district’s school calendar. Please be aware that students’ absences for family vacations do count towards audit. Our teachers work hard to ensure that every minute counts as our motto is “bell to bell instruction”. In addition, the semester ends early this year and students are required to take their final exam according to the Final Exam Schedule. Teachers will not be able to make special accommodations for this.
Audit reduces a student’s credit for a class from 0.5 credits to 0.25 credits for having 10 or more absences in a class. Tardies impact attendance as well. Every four tardies are equivalent to one absence. If a student does not recover the credit by passing the class, including receiving a 78% or better on the cumulative final exam, the student must take the class in night school or summer school to regain the full credit. Summer school costs $350 per class and night school costs $175 per class.

بينما نقترب من شهر كانون الأول / ديسمبر، تبدأ العائلات بالتخطيط للرحلات. وإذ نشجع العائلات على خلق الذكريات فاننا نطلب منهم تخطيط هذه الرحلات حسب تقويم المنطقة المدرسي. لذا أرجو الانتباه إلى أن غياب الطلاب بداعي العطلات العائلية سيُحتسب في سياسة التدقيق (Audit Policy). وإلتزاماُ بشعارنا “التعليم من الجرس إلى الجرس”، يعمل مدرسونا ومدرساتنا للتأكد من ان كل دقيقة تُحتسب. إضافة إلى ذلك، فان هذا الفصل ينتهي باكراً هذه السنة ويتوجب على طلابنا وطالباتنا أخذ اختبارهم النهائي بناءً على جدول الإختبار النهائي، حيث انه لن يكون بمقدور المدرسين والمدرسات تقديم أية تسهيلات خاصة.
تقوم سياسة التدقيق بخفض رصيد الصف من نصف رصيد (0.5) إلى ربع رصيد (0.25) في حال وجود 10 غيابات أو أكثر في صف واحد. كما أن التأخيرات تؤثر على الحضور (Attendance) أيضاً، حيث تساوي كل 4 تأخرات غياباً واحداً. وإذا لم يتمكن الطالب / الطالبة من استرداد الرصيد المفقود عبر النجاح في الصف والحصول على 78% أو أكثر في الإختبار النهائي التراكمي (Cumulative final exam)، فان عليه / عليها أن يأخذ الصف إما في المدرسة الليلية أو المدرسة الصيفية لحيازة الرصيد الكامل، عِلماً بأن كلفة الصف الصيفي الواحد تبلغ 350 دولاراً، فيما تبلغ تكلفة المدرسة الليلية 175 دولاراً للصف الواحد.
