Dearborn High School

Week Ahead

Greetings Pioneers,

Congratulations to all seniors! All have received their cap and gown and our underclassmen celebrated them with  a nice clap out to honor their last time walking through DHS hallways as students.

Yesterday and today, our graduating seniors were honored and celebrated at elementary and middle schools they attended. They did a walkthrough and clap out at each of our feeder schools – along with other festivities. Thank you to all the feeder schools who celebrated our students. Huge shout out to Ms. AboulHosn who coordinated this event with all the DHS feeder schools.

Our festivities continue next week as we honor our seniors at Honors Night.

SENIORS: PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL because that will be my way of communicating with seniors between now and commencement. Click here for the latest email that was sent to seniors – Congratulations and Reminders – Seniors

If you would like your senior to speak at commencement, to represent the experiences of their graduating class, please have them complete the following application. 2024 At-Large Commencement Speech

Please remember that seniors who are disciplined or suspended may lose the privilege to attend the end of year festivities that we have worked so hard to plan for them – this includes, prom, senior party, commencement. In more serious situations, the law is involved. We want our seniors to have fun- in and out of school -without anyone getting hurt or breaking rules/laws. Please talk to your senior about this because we will continue to enforce the Student Code of Conduct. We want all our seniors to end their time at DHS on a positive note and finish strong!

As the weather heats up, sometimes it is easy to be looking ahead to June and we forget to take advantage of every opportunity life has for us.  Our teachers are putting together engaging lessons to keep the love of learning flowing.  Please remember that the last day of school is June 7th and all family vacations should start after your child has concluded their school year on that date.

For your planning, the final exam schedule for 9th, 10th and 11th graders has been sent out and is listed here Final Exam Schedule.  Please remember that ALL students are expected to take their final exams. We ask that you make your summer travel plans, accordingly as missing finals will impact students.
