As some of you may know, one of our Pioneers, 10th Grader Zahraa Alasadi, passed away yesterday. Today, at the end of 1st hour, we recognized this loss through a building-wide moment of silence. This is what was shared:
Pioneers, today is a difficult day. As some of you know, one of our 10th Grade students, Zahraa Alasadi died yesterday. Zahraa was full of life, a pleasure to have in class, had a courageous spirit and was a joy to be around. We would like to recognize Zahraa with a schoolwide moment of silence.
We are all deeply saddened by this unexpected loss.
Many of our students knew Zahraa and are deeply impacted. We had social workers attend all of her classes and social workers are available in the main office for staff and students who need support.
