Dearborn High School

Week Ahead

Greetings Pioneers,

We have so many exciting things happening at Dearborn High School this upcoming week.

Parent teacher conferences will be held in the Cafeteria on November 14th from 1:30-7:30 pm. This will be your opportunity to speak to your child’s teachers for a better understanding of your child’s progress and grades in each class.  Below are some details that could assist you in navigating conferences:

  • The only entrance that will be available to enter and exit the building is the front door. The gym doors will only be used to attend the volleyball game. The cafeteria doors will not be accessible.
  • Please be sure to pick up your child’s report card upon entering, counselors will be seated alphabetically, by last name.
  • Teachers will be seated in the cafeteria alphabetically.
  • If you have any questions about our grading practices, there will be a Grading Practices Q&A table available in the cafeteria. In addition, please click on this Grading Practices at DHS  link for a better understanding of our grading practices. • Vaping Awareness session hosted by the Dearborn Police, LAHC and Students Against Vaping will be held in the media center from 6:00-7:00 pm. Please click on the flyer for more information.

Please take a few moments to watch this Motivational Moments Video: Parent Teacher Conferences for tips on our upcoming parent teacher conferences

We look forward to discussing your child’s growth and academic progress.

In addition, our annual Battle Against Hunger Food drive will take place this week. We will be collecting donations November 13-17th. Please click here for the Superintendent’s Press Release on The Battle Against Hunger

Last but not least, the Dearborn High School Theatre program presents its Fall Comedy production of LEND ME A TENOR opening Wednesday, November 15th at 7:30 pm in the School Auditorium with additional performances Thursday thru Saturday evenings, also at 7:30 pm.

LEND ME A TENOR is a classic farce with lots of fun moments. When the Cleveland Grand Opera brings in the world’s greatest Tenor, ” Tito Merelli”, to celebrate their tenth anniversary, a series of arguments and mishaps lead the Opera company manager to believe that Merelli has killed himself (he hasn’t) and they need to find a Tenor quick ! What follows is a series of mistaken identities and situations that will leave you laughing.

Tickets are $12 general admission, $10 for college students with I.D. and $8 for students 18 and under and senior citizens 65 and up.
