Our PSAC (Principal Student Advisory Committee) is sponsoring a Valentines Spirit Week to keep things fun during testing week –  with the following daily themes:

  • Monday – Twin Day
  • Tuesday – Throwback Day (Dress like your younger self)
  • Wednesday – Dress to impress

In addition, this week we will be re-introducing our Pioneer 6 Traits with the focus on one trait per month. Teachers will be implementing lessons and we will be using them a lot more  – school wide. Click here for a flier on the  Pioneer 6.  February’s focus will be on “Mindfulness”. The goal is to help students manage emotions, reflect, self-regulate and to be fully present during interactions.  Teachers will implement a mini-lesson teaching the importance of mindfulness, the difference between mindfull vs. Mind full, , its benefits and examples of how students can be mindful.  Please be sure to ask your student what they learned about mindfulness in the upcoming weeks.
