Congratulations to the Dearborn Unified Figure Skating Team on success at the recent Michigan High School Figure Skating championships in Southgate. DHS Junior Jillian Furlow was State Runner-up and silver medalist in the Artistic Duet category (with her partner, Edsel Sophomore Molly Holland). Furlow and Pioneer freshman Emily Skinner also had top-5 finishes in the Preliminary Ice Dance Category and freshman Serena Younes also earned points in helping Dearborn Unified place 13th overall out of 31 high school teams in overall individual points standings. Dearborn Unified skates out of the Dearborn Ice Skating Center and finished third this year in District Standings. Over 200 skaters from all over Michigan competed in this event.
