Greetings Pioneers,
Testing has ended for the majority of our students. We have a few students finishing up their spring testing.
As mentioned before, April is Arab American Heritage Month! During this time, we celebrate Arab Americans throughout the past and present, and recognize their invaluable contributions to our country. It also serves as a time to combat Anti-Arab bigotry and to challenge stereotypes and prejudices. At Dearborn High School, my Principal Student Advisory Council (along with our cultural clubs – Lebanese Student Association, Arabic Club, Discover Islam Club, Amity Club, etc) have decided to host a Culture Day for each of the three regions in the Arab World – Levant, Gulf and North African Regions with each day designated to bring awareness to each of the countries in that region. Cultural displays and activities will take place during all lunch periods in the annex of the cafe as follows:
April 26 – North African Region
April 29- Arabian Peninsula/GULF Region
April 30- Levant Region
Our DHS Parent Faculty Student Association (PFSA) will be hosting a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon next month and they can’t do it without the help of our wonderful families. Please consider making a donation to show teachers how much you appreciate their hard work.

The Arabic Club along with the DHS admin team will kick off Teacher Appreciation Week by hosting a barbeque/picnic for staff on Friday, May 3rd.
