Hello Pioneer Community,
As part of our ongoing effort to keep an open line of communication with our parents, I would like to take a moment to share information with you regarding something that was posted on social media last night.
We were made aware of a threatening comment made via Snapchat toward our school. Dearborn Police and our district’s Safety Department were immediately contacted. Law enforcement visited the home of the person who posted this. The investigation by Dearborn Police showed that it was not a viable threat, last night, and we are conducting business as usual.
We are very grateful for our strong partnership with the Dearborn Police Department and our school resource officer program, as it assisted us in acting swiftly and appropriately to this situation.
As a reminder, any threat is considered very serious and will be treated as such.
Please take this opportunity to discuss with your students the importance of thinking before posting anything online.
