Greetings Pioneers,
At approximately 9:00a.m. this morning an empty bullet casing was found in a boys restroom at Dearborn High. This was not an actual bullet, only the back half.
Out of an abundance of caution, Dearborn Police advised that we move our school into a lockdown while a search can be conducted. During the lockdown students remain in the classroom they are currently in and no one is permitted in or out of the building. Please do not come to the building during a lockdown. Police will not let you enter the building.
This action is currently underway in order to ensure the safety of the school. There has been no direct threat made to the school.
We are working with the Dearborn Police to determine where this empty bullet casing may have come from.
