Driving Safety Simulator comes to DHS
Greetings Pioneers,
We’re excited to announce that Dearborn High School will host a Driving Safety Simulator for THE UPCOMING WEEK (April 28-May 2) to help students explore and understand the dangers of risky driving behaviors in a safe and engaging way. You will see it in front of our school. Encourage your student to sign up for a spot in the simulator using the following link or by talking to Corporal Hanson – our SRO:

What Is It?
This virtual driving experience will allow students to safely navigate scenarios involving:
- Distracted Driving (texting, talking, eating)
 - Weather Hazards
 - Reckless Driving

Why It Matters
Car crashes are one of the leading causes of death for teens in the U.S. This simulator is a powerful way to help students:
- Recognize and avoid dangerous behaviors
 - Learn safe driving habits before they’re behind the wheel
 - Gain confidence to make smart decisions
 - Understand real consequences—without the real risk

What Families Can Do
You play a key role in your teen’s safety. Here are a few simple ways to support this experience:
- Start a conversation about what they learned
 - Model safe driving habits at home
 - Set family rules for car use and phone use
 - Discuss peer pressure and how to say no
