Week Ahead
Greetings Pioneers,
It’s CRUNCH TIME!!!! Final exams are coming up this week. Please remember to monitor your student’s grades and assignments and remind them to talk to their teachers if they have any work to make up to boost their grade before the end of the semester. Final exams will be held Wednesday – Friday. Click here for the schedule – Final Exam Schedule. All students must be in attendance to take their final exams – no exceptions.
During the last two weeks, student leaders from the Principal’s Student Advisory Council visited all tenth-grade classes (similar to what they did with 9th grade classes) to facilitate activities and lead meaningful conversations centered on The Power of Language – under the guidance of Ms. Sareini, our district’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Facilitator. This initiative was designed to encourage reflection, promote respectful communication, and build a more inclusive school culture. While the focus is broad, the effort also supports proactive conversations around the impact of language—particularly as it relates to identity, race, and other lived experiences—helping students better understand how their words can affect others. Students had a great time and benefitted from these lessons.
Please note: December’s PFSA meeting has been cancelled, but PFSA members will be wrapping gifts to raise funds. Please bring your gifts to get them wrapped on December 18th in the media center! Gift Wrapping Fundraiser from 5-9pm. All funds raised will go toward student scholarships!
