Robotics Team Soars at Two Competitions

During the spring break, the robotics team completed a highly successful run in its two competitions of the season.
The team put in an incredible amount of hard work and dedication leading up to these events, and it truly paid off on the field. Their performance was a testament to their technical skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
First Competition: The team successfully navigated their first event of the year on the first weekend of break, 03/27-03/29, demonstrating the capabilities of their new robot design. The team finished the qualification games on 12th position out of 43. This allowed them to become the captains of Alliance 7 (out of 8).
Second Competition: The team finished qualification games on position 9 (out of 40) and became the captain of Alliance 6 (out of 8). The team was also awarded the “Autonomous Award”. Evaluation for this award was based on the robot’s ability to sense its surroundings, position itself or onboard mechanisms appropriately, and execute tasks.
This success wouldn’t be possible without the tireless efforts of our students and the support of the volunteers that assist the robotics team.
Congratulations to the robotics team and also math teacher and robotics team coach, Ioana Vescan!
