Class of 2021 Parents and Students,
Congratulations! You only have 9 days left with your last “official” day of school being May 27th. The purpose of this letter and the video is to explain and give you an overview of all the end of the school year activities and how those things will look this year. Please make sure you also open the Class of 2021 End of Year, Mini Schedule. As a reminder, the information below can always change.
- Teachers will be giving final exams during your normal class time between May 24th and May 27th.
- Cap and Gown Pickup and Chromebook/Textbook return will happen between 9am-3pm from May 24th through May 27th. Please stop by the school at your convenience during those times to return your things and pick-up your end of year items. Make sure to return everything in order to get your cap and gowns.
- On June 1st at 6pm the Dearborn High School Class of 2021 Virtual Honors Program will be available at 6pm to be viewed. We are looking forward to celebrating all of your accomplishments including the student speeches and departmental awards.
- From 11am-1pm on June 10th we are having a required commencement rehearsal. Please make sure to be here. If you are not in attendance you will not get your tickets for your family members to attend commencement.
- If you are interested in being an at large student speaker at commencement, please submit your information to this link by May 26th.
- Commencement is Saturday, June 12th and will be held in two groups from 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm. The 11am group will be students whose last names start with letters A-G. The 2 pm group will be students whose last name start with letters H-Z.
- Each student will only get 2 tickets for family members to join them at commencement. Our program will be live streamed for all of your other family members to watch at home.
- Students that are participating in Commencement, Senior Party, and Senior Prom will only be allowed to attend if they have a negative rapid test provided by the school. We are working on when that will happen and will let you know soon.
- There are limited spots for both the Senior Party and Senior Prom due to Covid-19 restrictions. Once the spots are sold there are no others. So, please make sure you buy your tickets as soon as possible. The Senior Party has 100 seats available and Prom only has 60 openings as of today.
- If you have not purchased your 2021 Yearbook, the time is now. There are only 125 left, so please if you are planning on getting one buy it today!
